Hotel deals in Reykjavik

There are no fixed “deals” to list, because rates change daily and we don't show prices. Here is how to look for savings in Reykjavik, and where to compare.

When to look in Reykjavik

Usually good to visit: June to August for long daylight, or September to March for chances of Northern Lights. Moving your dates by a few days, or staying mid-week, can change what's on offer.

Where to compare

Rates can differ a lot between areas. Popular choices:

  • Downtown: Colourful streets with Hallgrímskirkja church, cafés, shops and bars
  • Old Harbour: Waterfront with whale-watching tours, seafood restaurants and the Harpa concert hall
  • Laugardalur: Residential area with a large geothermal pool, botanic garden and zoo
  • Vesturbær: Calm western district with a local swimming pool and seaside walks

Checklist before you book

  1. Compare at least two or three sites for the same dates and guests.
  2. Check what the total includes: taxes, city fees and breakfast.
  3. Look at the cancellation terms. A flexible rate can be worth a little more.
  4. Try nearby dates and a neighbouring area.
  5. Read recent guest reviews on the booking site itself.
